Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, served as the Prime Minister of Nepal. He was born on December 11, 1954, in Dhikur Pokhari, Kaski District, Nepal. Prachanda is a prominent Nepalese politician and a former guerrilla leader.

Prachanda played a crucial role in the Maoist insurgency that took place in Nepal from 1996 to 2006. He led the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and fought against the monarchy, advocating for the establishment of a republic in Nepal. The insurgency resulted in significant political changes in the country, leading to the abolition of the monarchy and the formation of a democratic republic.

Prachanda served as the Prime Minister of Nepal twice. His first term was from August 2008 to May 2009, following the success of the Maoist party in the 2008 Constituent Assembly election. During his first term, he focused on implementing social and economic reforms and the integration of Maoist combatants into the national army.

His second term as Prime Minister was from August 2016 to June 2017. However, his tenure was marked by political challenges and disagreements within the coalition government, leading to his resignation. Since then, there have been several changes in the political landscape of Nepal, and my information is not up-to-date to provide the latest developments.

Please note that this information is accurate up until September 2021, and it is advisable to consult reliable sources or news outlets for the most recent information on Pushpa Kamal Dahal and his political activities.
